Lynette obtained a B Compt degree from the University of Free State, a B Com Hons (Acc) (Cum Laude) and B Compt (Hons) from UNISA. She passed the board examination set by the Public Accountants’ and Auditors’ Board in 1989, and completed her articles with PriceaterhouseCoopers in Windhoek, after which she was admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 1992.
Before and after her period of articles she was a senior lecturer in Accounting and Auditing at the University of Namibia and during this time she obtained an Advanced Certificate in Taxation from UNISA. From 2000 to 2004 she was the Tax Manager of the coastal Tax Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers and was admitted as Associate Director in 2005. In 2012 she joined Financial Consulting Services CC and was admitted as partner in 2013.
As a member of Cultus Training Academy CC, the training division of FCS, she manages the in-house training programme, develops new courses and also presents many of the courses. Her vision for the training division is to become financially independent and sustainable in the future.
Lynette, a former national squash player is very passionate about sport and currently plays golf, cycles in her free time and often goes snow-skiing.
As a director of FCS she aspires to ensure that clients receive quality service at an affordable fee.
